Gold Coast Ocean Fest 2003 – Kiteboarding Comp
For the fourth year North Devon’s Croyde and Woolacombe beaches are hosting
the Gold Coast Ocean Fest, one of the largest lifestyle and extreme sports events
in the UK. With two of the countries best beaches offering super conditions
for 11 sports and live music on a massive outdoor stage the Gold Coast is not
to be missed.
The Kiteboarding is taking place at Woolacombe Beach, along with the Long Board
World Qualifier, Surf Boat Championships and the Red Bull Pinzgauer Music truck
will be providing the sounds – the beach will be packed with competitors
and spectators all enjoying and soaking up the beach vibes.
The Gold Coast is the fourth round of the BKSA Amateur Championships and the
third for the Junior Championship fleet, there is a also a winner takes all
Best Trick / Wave / Hang for the Top Flight riders.
Accommodation is being provided by the events main sponsors, Woolacombe Bay
Holiday park at a greatly reduced price – 50% off there standard rates

Kiteboarding events are not complete without a killer party, this year the
main stage in Croyde is not to be missed – with “top 20” live
bands you have to come along to enjoy the party atmosphere on Saturday 21st,
then there is also the Marisco Disco for the hard core who like to party until
the small hours!
Prizes for the Amateur and Junior competitors are being provided by the industries
leading brands as well as Woolacombe Bay providing a free weekend break in there
top lodge for the winner! the winner of the top flight will receive a winner
takes all cash prize.
