It’s all going on in Gran Canaria! Things are really hotting up with just a few days until the competition.
Boards are gutted that we’ve lost many of the UK competitors for various reasons but would like to wish all the very best with fatherhood (Horrocks!), Formula world championships (Williams) and recovery (Swifty). Of the Brits that are still going strong we’ve heard Lewis, Proffitt, Skye and Hancock are all looking great on the water and as determined as ever to produce the goods, good luck boys!
There has been a lot of controversy around the new 32 man system of entry as it’s meant some unexpected riders have been given places and some have lost out. Boardseeker have caught up with PWA chairman Rich Page to finally clarify the exact situation, plus they’ve revealed all the riders for the trials! Take a look here, we think you’ll agree even the trials are stacked with unbelievable talent! We definitely wouldn’t like to place any bets on who does and doesn’t advance!
And of course there’s yet more gossip, Philip Koester is sailing better than we’ve ever seen! Going big, crashing big and landing even bigger. Is there no end to this boy’s talents?
Whilst Koester has been sailing his home spot, Campello has been dialling in some new tricks in Pozo. Find out what he’s trying here and remember to follow the latest with the Brits in Pozo here on Boards and find out more from the top riders on our sister site Boardseeker.com
