An event ending injury may be a disaster for Swift, but there’s always a silver lining. This silver lining as that Swift will now attend the biggest UK windsurf event on the calendar. NWF just looks better and better every day…
“The injury I sustained while training for Gran Canaria has certainly set me back in terms of competition this year. I have had my operation and am now trying to do everything I can to recover fully in time for Denmark.
“Having this unforeseen setback has however, allowed me the time to finally be able to attend an event which I have wanted to be a part of for many years, the National Windsurfing Festival.
“I was invited to the Defi Wind this year, and it was amazing to race with so many enthusiastic windsurfers, and to be a part of a similar calibre of event in the UK will be absolutely fantastic.
“I hope that I will be able to at least take part in the fun racing part of the NWF, but whatever happens, I will be enjoying the atmosphere of so many keen windsurfers all together enjoying the sport that we love and I will be more than happy to help people out with tips on rigging, sailing, technique, travel etc.
“We will also be showing Don’t Let Go and we will have copies there for sale if you don’t own one already.
“Agent Eight will have all the new 2014 NeilPryde Sails, 2014 JP Australia Boards, including the new Magic Ride and we will be showing the latest range of NP Harnesses, which includes the exclusive S1 Spreader Bar.
“We are all looking forward to this years event, it’s going to be the biggest event that windsurfing has had in the UK for years, we can’t wait.”
