Conditions
Guincho is basically a wave spot – during the summer the waves vary between 0.5 – 2.0 metres, but there are also areas of flat water for freestyle windsurfing and foir kitesurfing.
The wind can be anything from Force 4 to 9, and is normally strongest in the afternoon. Think in terms of 4.2 – 5.7 sails and you should be fine. For kitesurfers early mornings are perfect, with afternoons being for the experts who can handle high wind.
