Dave White’s put a call out for speed demons to be at the Ray, Southend, this Saturday morning. He’ll be there looking to break that elusive 50 knot GPS mark, but will be happy to help all comers with some tips on going quicker. From Dave’s site:
“The wind forecast is starting to look good for a bit of speedsailing at Southend this coming Saturday. As long as the forecast holds, I and a few other sailors are heading over for an early start on Saturday. Low tide is 9am so we need to be out there first thing, I guess the Ray will be covered again sometime after 11am so plenty of time for sailing at another location after.
“Pop back here [www.63pix.com] on Friday evening just in case the forecast changes and we don’t go, just don’t forget to bring your Garmin GPS”
