The club is a thriving mix of people of all abilities: adults, juniors, men and women. Some own their own boards and some hire club equipment. Members and non-members are welcome with access to the water 7 days a week throughout the year. There are regular club trips, annual club holidays and social events making Bray Lake is a great way to start your windsurfing adventure.
On Saturday mornings we run a special club session during our ‘happy hour’ hire session that is open to members and non-members. Aimed at an improver level of windsurfer an instructor is on hand to help you work on all your windsurfing skills with sessions geared to the conditions of the day.
Who should go?
The lake is best suited to beginners and intermediates, where the safe and friendly environment provides a great place for those that are new to the sport and that are looking to find their feet in the windsurfing world. However, on a windy day the lake is still big enough to provide excitement enough for the better windsurfer that doesn’t have enough time to get to the coast.
Bray Lake provides a warm and friendly windsurfing welcome to everyone, and is a great venue where the new windsurfer will be looked after and taken seriously.
