2. We have seen a massive increase in the popularity of inflatable SUP boards. Are we likely to see inflatable freeride boards soon?
SW. Not sure…the speed of a Windsurfer is a lot higher…so the board needs to be quite a bit stiffer, but with the inflatable technology constantly improving I can see that happening soon.
OH. It might not be too far off. The Inflatable SUPs are working better than we thought they could. We can make the boards really light and stiff but at the moment the laminated technologies hold advantage in accuracy of form.
TY. People are already freeriding on our inflatable windsurf boards.
FG. Yes, it is all around the corner, I hear some inflatable rigs might be on the way to, it is great to see our sport being enjoyed by more and more people.
WG. At this stage I do not see inflatable freeride boards. The stiffness and good rail shape is essential. So nothing is impossible but lots of development needs to be done until we get there. I guess they will find their place in the entry and beginner boards.
FV. I think there is space for beginer inflatable boards and longboards for light wind But I don’t see the point for freeride board as they already fit in Car’s and need to be stiff to have some performance.
