After a great start to the season the tour was hit by 2 no-wind events in a row so this round will be hotly contended in all fleets and watched closely by the brands who all want to see the riders on the Podium! Starboard/Severne Rider James Dinsmore leads the pro fleet closely followed by 3 of the Puravida Boardriders slalom team all gunning for a podium finish! Local Kevin Greenslade (GA/Tabou/Puravida) currently sits in second place followed by team mates Simon Cofield (Fanatic/North/Puravida) and Simon Pettifer (Simmer/Tabou/Puravida/Oshea/Timotea).

In the amateur series there are some real hot contenders looking to get in the pro fleet next year with Tim Gibson leading followed by Simon Langley. A real young hot shot to watch though is Nicky Welsh recently featured in boards.co.uk online. Nicky has come from RS:X background and already picked up support from Puravida, Simmer and Black Project fins.

Zara Davis (Simmer/Mistral/Sonntag) may be best known for speed but she’s been cutting her teeth round the corners and sits in 7th against the amateur men and 1st lady overall.
