As we have a shiny new website we thought we would bring back the top news, plus our favourite features, and in a new format too. So, without further ado, here’s our favourite things on Boards this week.
There has been A LOT going on in the news this week. First of all we saw Ricardo Campello and Britain’s own Robby Swift sending it in Chile. Who’s excited for the PWA there this season!?!
Then we had more injury news as Adam Sims took a tough landing whilst practicing his doubles. Also, on the injury front we now hear Proffitt is back in the UK and doing well, we wish both the boys a speedy recovery.
Boards also launched our new look website, including the all new and free classifieds section. Remember we would love to hear your feedback!
The services also announced their next freewave championships will be held in Rhosneigr, a great event for any in the Army, Navy or RAF, plus a great warm up for those wanting to compete in the BWA too.
Of course, all week we’ve been on the edge of our seats watching the SUP action in Peru. With a strong contingent from the UK and Ireland it’s been nail biting stuff, so congratulations to all competitors. Boards has updates from British competitor Andre Le Geyt here.
Our final news shout out this week is about job opportunities with Ocean Elements. The watersports centres based in Greece are expanding and looking for new staff, including a head of operations and windsurfing instructor.
Now, onto our favourite features this week! We received a great postcard from Tanya Saleh, who has been riding some waves in Puerto Rico, plus we caught up with another wavesailing lady, 2012 BWA Champion Debbie Kennedy. And finally, the competition to win a windsurfing lesson with Chris Murray and a helicopter flight in Cornwall closes this Sunday, so this is your last opportunity to enter! Good luck!
