Gwilym Williams Joins Naish UK Pro Windsurfing Team

Naish Sails (UK) Ltd is proud to announce the signing of nineteen year old
and current Irish Youth Wave Champion, Gwflym Williams to the Naish UK Pro
Windsurfing Team.

Gwilym from Rusheen Bay, Galway on west coast of Ireland, recently ventured
across the water to the bright lights of the London Indoor, which saw him
shine, and in his first major event outside of Ireland, let alone indoors,
he came a highly credible 5th in men’s slalom and 8th in men’s freestyle.

In a personal statement from Gwilym he commented “Last season 1 was Naish
UK’s repr~ntative opinion leader over here in Ireland. The phrase “kid in a
candy store” came to mind when 1 was trying out the new Naish gear.’ 1
loved everything that 1 was lucky enough to get my mitts on. The Boxer sail
eventually became my preferred weapon of choice and the more 1 get to use
this unique sail the more fun 1 have! In the boards department 1 went for
the Comp Wave 68 and the Playmate. 1 learned way more moves last season
than 1 ever learned in my entire windsurfing life, 1 would like to think
that that was purely down to personal skill but 1 know that a lot of it is
thanks to my kit.”

“Obviously I’m really stoked that 1 got on to the Naish UK Pro Team and I’m
looking forward to flying the Naish flag wherever my windsurfing may take
me in the future.”
