WINDFEST ON THE MOVE
Windfest orginsers have been looking for a new venue to hold future events, and now they’ve found it in the agreeable shape of Woolacombe in North Devon.
Windfest @ Woolacombe, scheduled for 22-24 April, will be hosting the 1st round of the Kite Boarding British tour, and all the latest windsurfing and kiting kit will be there to demo, from: F2. – Arrows – Mistral – North – Fanatic – North Kites – Naish – Ezzy – RRD – RRD Surf Boards – Flexifoil – Brunoti – Advavce – Peter Lynn – Sling Shot – Tacoon – Cabina – Fi – Wippika.
The RNLI will be there showing us what great work they do and putting on a flare demo, and organisers are currently talking with F2 about putting on a windsurf speed competition.
Two parties are planned at The Red Barn in Woolacombe, and the orginisers promise that, after learning many valuable lessons from the Skegness event, these will be 100% better.
There are some great places to stay in the area, and Windfest has teamed up with the biggest local holiday camp, Woolacombe Bay, which has four big sites just up the road from the event site.
