EFPT European Freestyle Pro Tour Freestyle Windsurfing Championship
Urnersee – Switzerland, 20 – 22. May 2005
Next weekend the elite of Freestyle Windsurfing will meet for the first time in the running season at lake Urnersee in Switzerland. The first two events of the worlds most important Freestyle Windsurfing Tour took place in France and Austria. It is another chance to win important points to get the titel of the European Champion on the European Freestyle Pro Tour.
This is another possibility for Swiss Freestyle Windsurfers to compete on an international level. Favorites are Steve Christen ( Swiss Champion 2004), Daniel Äberli and the local hero Florian Jauch from Flüelen. Also good for top results is Baptiste Beer how is top ranked in the current overall ranking of the EFPT after two events.
Riders out of 8 nations will compete in switzerland. Top favorites are Norman Günzlein GER, Tine Slabe SLO and Michael Rossmeier AUT how showed a strong performance at the last event in Austria.
For the Swiss riders it will be an important event on the way to the World Championship which will take place in august in Silvaplana, Switzerland.
During the Stimorol Engadinwind the IFCA Freestyle World Championships are taking place from august 17th – 21st 2005. The Worlds best freestyle windsurfers are gonna travel to the Engadin to compete for the World Champion titel.
