STARBOARD SET TO TAKE PWA CONSTRUCTOR’S TITLE

Starboard wins three disciplines in the PWA Constructors Championship and with one event remaining has an almost unassailable lead in the fourth discipline.

After an action packed year on the PWA World tour Starboard has topped the Constructors Championships in Slalom 42, Super X and Freestyle. With the Hawaii Pro (wave sailing) still to run, Starboard is looking good to take a clean sweep in all disciplines.

Antoine Albeau lead the way from the start using the S Types to dominate the Super X discipline, and has backed up this success with dominance in the Slalom discipline, using the test winning iSonic and Sonic slalom boards. Antoine says of his success:
“My objective for the world tour this year was to win in the Slalom 42 and Super-X, and as I’ve achieved that I’m pretty stoked! It was a special year for me with four good events in Slalom, the last three involving great battles”

The ever consistent Kevin Pritchard has been putting his Acid and Evo wave boards to the test in a range of conditions to claim 1st overall in the wave sailing rankings. This has helped propel Starboard to the top of the pile in the current wave board constructors championships. With one event still to run all eyes will be on the Starboard Team as they aim to extend the lead in Hawaii at the beginning of November.

The cool laid back Caribbean’s, Taty Frans and Sarah-Quita Offringa, have been using the Flare freestyle board to help Starboard top the freestyle constructors rankings. Both sailors have spent the summer displaying their smooth style at events. Taty Frans and Kiri Thode have been wearing the Tiki Man emblem with pride and finished 2nd and 4th respectably on the PWA Freestyle Tour. Sarah from Aruba has taken the ladies fleet by storm and has catapulted herself to second overall for the year.

We have to boast about our Frenchman Antoine. Until he joined Starboard his World Championship titles had been elusive. Now he is unstoppable, and the icing on the cake is sales are significantly up in France – tres Bon.
