SHOCK RESULT IN CAPE TOWN SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Cape Town Slalom Championships, Dec 3rd 2006

Guy Cribb, technique guru and former British Champion, who hasn’t
raced in slalom in over a decade entered the Cape Town Champs to see if he
still had his slalom mojo.

The fleet included current British Slalom Champion Dan Ellis and top UK
racer Alan Jackson, and the South African Slalom Champ, Derek, plus all
the local hot shots.

With all these guys on their highly tuned, high tech race kit and Cribby
only armed with his Neil Pryde Zone wave sails, it was fortunate Cribby
was lent a 2008 69 litre Slalom prototype from Waggy at Bay Sports, this
at least gave him a fast board for a fighting chance.

With six rounds of slalom and three master blasters held, it is with some
amazement that Cribby blew away the fleet with a total of five wins and
four second places! Showing that a 12x British Champion is going to be
hard to beat, even after a decade of absence! This is like Nigel Mansell
showing up at a Grand Prix and beating all the F1 drivers in his road car.

Join Cribby for one of his new INtuition Slalom weeks in 2007 for gybe,
speed and race training!
