Local sailor and current National FW. Senior Champion, Steve Maxted, has organised
the first ever race event to be held at Camber Sands, the popular, East Sussex
beach. This will be held on October 13-14th. and is round five of the UKWA
freerace championships. Steve tells us that good trophies will be on offer,
including ones for ‘best newcomers’. First timers will get free entry and will
just pay a nominal membership fee for the UKWA. (this includes free insurance).

Any board or sail can be used for the short heats, so you can use your regular
kit.

There will be a lively social on the Saturday with some free drink tokens.

Chris Calthrop is scheduled to give a kite-surfing display.
