The Paddle’s back….but we need your help!
The dates have been set for ‘The Paddle Round The Pier’, the world’s biggest charity watersports event, but help is needed to make it as successful as last year.
It will be held on the weekend of the 7th and 8th of July in
Dave Samuel, Paddle Director says: “Last year’s event was amazing. We raised thousands of pounds for three really worthwhile charities and we attracted a huge crowd of people throughout the day.
“We’ve turned it into a two day event this year in order for more events to be held, but this means more work for us.
“We really want to hear from anyone who can get involved, whether it’s by financially helping to put on this event or by helping us out on the day as stewards, safety staff etc. We especially have a desperate need for an accountant.
“It’s a really great opportunity for companies to promote themselves to thousands of beach-loving people, so we readily welcome any sponsorship help in any form – either by becoming a main sponsor or by simply donating prizes for our raffle.
“All monies raised are given back to the charities so we rely on the generous support of businesses and individuals to help make this a success.”
Celebrity supporter Norman Cook and Zoe Ball have kindly agreed to support the event again this year, with Norman saying: “We are really happy to help out with the event as it’s a great way to raise money for some worthwhile charities and have fun on the world’s best beach…
The charities who will receive the money are the RNLI, The Rockinghorse Appeal and SurfAid.
