NEW-LOOK SAS WEBSITE LAUNCHES DURING FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT.
Free fairtrade tea and chocolate provided with any SAS shop or membership order during fairtrade fortnight!
After 5 years we’ve decided to give the website a bit of an overhaul as it has been getting a bit dated in places. It’s been taking a fair bit of time to complete as we’ve been trying to do it in between, actions, lobbying activities, meetings, talks etc but we’ve had so many of these in the last few years ‘the website’ always got put back. Anyway we’re there now and we hope you’ll find it useful in keeping up to date with SAS actions and activities.
In particular the campaign sections are a lot clearer and there’s a ‘TAKE ACTION’ section on the homepage, which we’ll be asking you to use when we need support for particular issues. We’ve over 20 campaigns on the go at the moment so there’s a lot of support we need from you right now! Keep an eye on it, as it’s a key campaign tool for us in generating momentum on an issue.
There are new sections where you can watch SAS films, see cool pictures in our Picture Gallery and find out who your local SAS rep is. The Team SAS section also features profiles of some of the World’s top surfing talent backing the SAS campaign for clean, safe recreational water for everyone.
SAS-ZINE is where you can sign up to get email action alerts. By doing this you can be the first to hear about and be a part of SAS actions on the campaign frontline.
It’s also super easy and fast to use the SAS shop now. By buying SAS merchandise you’re not only supporting SAS campaigns but also getting items and garments that are less polluting in their own right. SAS first started using organic cottons and environmentally friendly dyes in 2003. Now in 2007 all our clothes are produced with 100% organic cotton and printed using PVC and phthalate free inks. We’ve also a growing portfolio of quirky and useful recycled and fairly traded products!
