The tour’s touched down in Scotland and the Hebridean Island of Tiree for the Corona Extra PWA World Cup and the conclusion to the men’s wave sailing series.
Tiree is a brand new tour stop in this epic year for new venues, and is also the final PWA event of the season.
Today is registration day and the world’s best wave rider are signing-up for the challenge of this mobile, multi-beach event provides.
Tonight there will be a high profile opening ceremony hosted by the local community and the sponsors as they celebrate the 2007 year of Culture for the Scottish Highlands and Islands and their committment to Scotland’s outdoor sporting resources.
There will also be a draw for the highly prized wildcards into the event that are up for grabs.
The contest runs from October 6th through 13th. The forecast for wind and surf is promising for early in the week and possibly towards the weekend again.
