Broody Skies
The Corona Extra PWA World Cup ’07 – Day Five
The mystery as to who’ll take the 2007 title in Scotland stays shrouded in the misty beaches of Tiree
A daybreak session to exploit a positive wind forecast bore no fruit and so
competition was cancelled for the day once again.
There are two days of competition left to settle the 2007 world championship and the forecasts still show some hope of suitable conditions.
So far the title race is between tour leader and 2005 world champion Kauli Seadi (Quatro / Naish) of Brazil, and 23-yr old tour runner-up Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / Simmer) of Spain.
This evening the competitors are attending a traditional music night with local bands and artists performing at the event HQ.
But a couple of the guests will also become entertainers as top stars try their hands at playing Gaelic instruments.
The special headliners tonight are Moroccan star Boujmaa Guillol (Starboard / Severne), and Australian wave master Jason Polakow (JP / NeilPryde) as they attempt to play the bag pipes in front of the Island community and guests!
The first call tomorrow’s at 08.00 after the usual dawn spot check.
