Ian Roberts joins sSs Windsurf team

SeaSprite Sports are pleased to announce that RYA coach, Ian Roberts, has joined the sSs Windsurf Team and that he will be personally sponsored for RRD Boards and Ezzy Sails.

Ian spends most of his windsurfing time training and developing other sailors, often on One Design race equipment or beginner kit, so his choice of personal boards and sails is important to maximising any available time on the water. Ian is a keen freestyle windsurfer and can be seen on most spare days practicing his moves at West Kirby.

Wouter Ardern, Managing Director of SeaSprite Sports commented: ‘We are delighted that Ian has joined the team. In the last couple of years many of the magazine testers have moved to RRD for their personal board choice and now we are seeing windsurfing coaches choosing both RRD and Ezzy for their performance, ease of use and build quality.

Ian chose a RRD Twin Tip 90 to go with his 2008 Ezzy Wave SE quiver and said ‘I chose the Twin Tip having tried a number of other brands and the RRD was the definitely the easiest board to use, particularly with the Ezzy sails which have enormous range and are built to deal with the toughest conditions’.
