Connor, Flying Objects and Scorpions
Connor Bainbridge, aged 14, is pleased to announce that he will be sponsored by Flying Objects and Scorpion Wetsuits for the 2008-09 season. Connor is a member of the sSs Windsurf Team and has been sponsored for RRD Boards and Ezzy sails for a number of years.
Whilst Connor spends most of his weekends training and racing on his RS:X at UKWA events in the under 19 fleet, any free windsurfing days are spent freestyle and wave sailing.
He recently enjoyed a weeks coaching with Jem Hall in Prasonisi through Sportif and the perfect conditions meant he was learning Wymaroos on the Thursday and scoring his first loops on the Friday. Having taken months and months to learn to Vulcan over the winter he achieved his first Spock 540’s within 3 days helped by 6 days of consistent wind.
Connor will be competing at the RSX European Youth Championships in Sicily over the summer, alongside the National Youth Squad.
He is sponsored for RRD Boards & Clothes, Ezzy Sails, Flying Objects, Scorpion Wetsuits and Grasshopper Porridge and is personally mentored by Jem Hall.
