Itoma 2009 – the Club Vass live-aboard catamaran trip in Cape Verde is back

Club Vass are again teaming up with Itoma, a 70 foot motored catamaran based in Cape Verde and stacked full of windsurfing kit, with one and two week trips available in March 2009.

This trip of a lifetime is a live-aboard experience with a difference, offering the opportunity to explore Cape Verde’s infamous wave breaks; with no one else around!  Itoma is specifically customised for windsurfers and sleeps 12 people in twin or double berths and packed full of F2 and NeilPryde kit, all rigged onboard ready to go.

Set amongst the north western islands of Cape Verde, Itoma will explore an untouched paradise in one of the last far flung places on earth and a sublime windsurfing location.  Cape Verde is a cluster of isolated islands, about 800 miles off the West African Coast, with Portuguese influences from the old colonial rule still in evidence.  Itoma will be seeking out untouched waves and hidden coves, with the exact itinerary dependent upon conditions.

Customers will also be joined by Colin Dixon, a regular Club Vass instructor and Britain’s number two freestyler, sponsored by JP and NeilPryde.  Colin guided on the inaugural Club Vass Itoma trip last year and so knows all the top spots to head to, as well as offer coaching and guidance so being guaranteed to push your skills.

Prices start from £859 per person for a one week departure on 2nd or 9th March 2009 and includes all meals onboard (excludes flights: these can be purchased through CLub Vass).  Two week options are also available, and flight prices will be advised on application dependent on current rates.
