The first round of what is looking like a very exciting slalom series for 2009 is only a few weeks away. Funsport at Rhosneigr will host the opening round of the British Tour and following an enjoyable trip to Ireland the series kicks off on British shores with a real bang. The event is combined with the wave tour (rozzy being a unique destination where waves and flat water can both be found on the same beach) and the two events will provide a real spectacle with a beach full of sailors and competitors.

A big highlight is saturday night’s entertainment with FREE SNOWBOARDING AND SKIING lessons for all competitors, along with use of the toboggan run, food and live music! This is worth the entry fee alone! There will also be a coach to and from the event site/camp site to get you there and back safely.

Furthermore, HOT LUNCHES ARE INCLUDED FOR ALL COMPETITORS throughout the weekend, not to mention the Irish Invasion with 30 competitors already confirmed to travel the Irish Sea and compete in the final round of the Irish Sea Challenge! With the three fleets ready to race there is something for everybody on the water no matter what your ability or what kit you have – race at full speed or at your leisure.

The event will be hosted and organised by Funsport on Rhosneigr Beach 15th – 17th of May 2009. This event is combining two disciplines and hosting all the competitors from two different events:
 


1) UKWA Four Nations Wave Series (round 2)

2) JP/NP Irish Sea Challenge + Irish Slalom Series (round 2)
 


UKWA Wave Info:
 
Pro Sailors Fleet – Starts on the 15th (Friday) and will be run if needed, through the weekend, the entry fee for all Pro competitors is £55 each. 
Amateur, youths and ladies fleet starts 10am Saturday, entry fee £45.


JP/Neil Pryde, Slalom. – Irish Sea Challenge, Round 1.
 
All fleets racing starts Saturday 16th.
 First possible start 10am.
 Briefing at Funsport from 9 am. 
Entry fee for all fleets £45

Saturday night party and free BBQ at Llandudno ski slope. 
Hot lunches for all competitors.

On Saturday night there will be:
A fully licensed bar.
A coach available from Funsport to Llandudno to evening party and return.
