The SAS/Quiksilver Surfshow Tour hits the road once again in May and will be

carrying some of the UK's best surfers plus 2x World Masters Champion Gary Elkerton.

The purpose of the Tour is to celebrate everything that is special about our

coast. It also serves as a public awareness exercise to ensure that the quality

of our water environment is maintained and improved. 20 million people use the

coastline of the UK every year and in many areas tourism and leisure play a

key role in the economy and well being of local communities.

"I am privileged to be part of the SAS/Quiksilver Surfshow Tour as raising

awareness about keeping our playground clean is vitally important to the sport

I love" - Gary Elkerton - 2000 & 2001 World Masters Surfing Champion.

This year's Tour will also be incorporating a Tag team style surf contest at

each venue where local surfers will have the opportunity to surf with and against

the pro's.

Each venue will see the surfers holding Press calls, Expression Sessions, Surf

lessons and educational talks to schools and universities on pollution awareness

and beach safety (Including how to stay safe in the sun thanks to our Co- sponsors
