Boracay, The Philippines
An archipelago of 7,107 islands in Southeast Asia, can be reached via a 12 to 15 hour journey from the UK and Europe.
UNESCO lists a number of World Heritage Sites that showcase its culture, history and natural beauty.
The country abounds with white, powder-fine sand beaches, with Boracay being voted time and again into the world’s top ten lists.
On this island, Oceansource.net is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new Starboard / Severne centre bringing high quality European semi-pro riders / instructors and instruction with the latest equipment. The centre is located on the grounds of the Reef Retreat where you will also find Ocean Republic, a well established and Asia’s first internationally recognised IKO centre.
The windsurfing season runs from December to April during which time Boracay will play host to the 21st Boracay Funboard Cup.
To mark both occasions, Ant Baker from the Baker Windsurf and Kitesurf Academy will be holding a special slalom clinic designed to look at all aspects of slalom sailing through use of hi-tech video coaching on and off the water.
For those recently seduced by kitesurfing, Ant will also run a kitesurfing clinic and uses Predator waterproof cameras to focus on your positives and negatives then build on the positives. With helmet and kite mounts you will be able to video conference in the evenings to work your targets and goals.
So, if you’re looking for the ‘Ultimate Winter Getaway’, look no further than Boracay.
