IRISH CALANDER CHANGES

In the absence of the Wind and Wave event, the following changes have been made:

OCT BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND – Oct 26/27/28
IWA Wave Championships, Round 3
Hosted by: UISCE adventure centrE, Belmullet Co Mayo.

Wave Event will be run on the Atlantic side of penninsula…. World Class waves.

Far from being a wave only event –
COACHING aimed at beginners WOWIs, juniors & freeride blasters will be offered
by UISCE in Elly Bay (super flat water), within walking distance (literally)
from the center, and where the wave action will be taking place.
Coaching can be with your kit for intermediates, or using the centers for level
1-3.
It’s also the ideal venue for just going blasting… or some possible freestyle
action.

Accomadation : UISCE have 60 spaces in their new ‘super hostel’ …. warm….
power-hose showers…. and right on the waters edge. The ideal base for an event.
If you were at the Surfdock birthday bash… you will know how great a venue
this is. Partys are planned… pub excursions…

Booking will have to be made asap – directly with UISCE.

IWA WAVE FINALS -have moved to Nov 16/17th

Yep you know the place… it’s Brandon bay. Before it gets too cold… we have
picked the windiest time of year for the Wave final showdown. It also give Jamie
more time to organise himself after the PWA circus.

Thanks to everyone who is helping to make this happen, and on such short notice.
Thanks to all the Cork buys who were ready to jump in with an event too. Prizes,
sponsors etc.. have yet to be arranged (offers welcome) but things are looking
very positive to finish the year on a high note.

The bank holiday should be a great laugh – Belmullet is a a venue that has
not yet failed to deliver wind on any visit.

See you in Kerry for that PWA thing…
