Matt Pritchard pops the question in the Carribean…

The World Championship Freestyle Finals are over and the sailors are at
Bonaire’s Flamingo Airport awaiting their travels back home. The event ended
with the PWA Awards Ceremony at The Plaza Casino. It was a night of
champagne, gambling, windsurf videos and fun.

Matt Pritchard was crowned number one male freestyler by the PWA for 2002.

His speech shared a poignant personal tribute to his brother Kevin and his
lovely
girlfriend, Erin Colgate. Coincidentally he had proposed earlier in the
evening at one of Bonaire’s most romantic dining spots, Richards. Erin showed
her
lovely platinum engagement ring to all at Plaza last night. It was a very
special night for Matt and the future Mrs. Pritchard. Not only did Matt
win the title of number one in the world for freestyle but he has won the heart
of
the sweetest women in the sport. Good luck to Matt and Erin. Erin promises to
return to Bonaire with Matt and maybe in the future, with little ones in tow.
