WORLD CHAMPION HOPES FOR HOME TOWN GLORY

World Champion Hoping For Home Town Glory

Current Formula Windsurfing World Champion, Christine Johnston (29), will
be competing this weekend at the UKWA British Windsurf Championships –
taking place in her home town of Hove, East Sussex. Christine will be
aiming to defend her British Championship title which she won at the very
same event in Hove in 2003.

Christine has had a very successful start to her racing season for 2004 in
the UK, winning the first two National Series events by a big margin. She
has recently returned from the Formula Windsurfing European Championships
that took place in Lake Garda, Italy, from 10-15 May, where she finished
5th European.

Having won the World title in 2003, Christine has her sights set firmly on
retaining her World title in Poland later this year. She came away from
the Europeans knowing what she needs to do to get in front.

The UKWA British Championships in Hove are expecting some 140 racers,
including 75 Formula windsurf racers to attend. Further information on the
event can be found at:

Christine is sponsored by Gaastra, Starboard, Neil Pryde wetsuits,
Deboichet fins and www.executivesonline.co.uk
