T15 Race report at Aquasport 16th May:

3 2 1 Bewl Windsurfing’s Team 15 blasted off the new season at Aquasports in
a little to no wind event. As usual Mercers Park lived up to its reputation with the wind shifting
all over the place making sailing even more difficult.

The event consisted of three races in the morning and a FUN TEAM SUPER 8
competion after lunch which tested everyones freestyle skills.

Rahul Patel sailed consistently in every race securing 3rd place in the 3.5
fleet. Sam Moffat sorprised himself after a disastrous first race by pumping his
way up the final beat in his last race and storming his way to victory
gaining 2nd in the 5.5 fleet. Adam Sims on a 6.3 was knocked in to 2nd position in race 1, but fought back winning race 2. Race 3 was a battle for the deciding first position on the
last beat Adam gambled tacking onto starboard forcing his opponent to tack
he quickly tacked back leaving the unlucky fellow to get swallowed up by
the rest of the fleet.

Using the new quiver of Gun sails lent to the team for the season the 7 new
T15 recruits did extremely well to secure 3rd place overall.
