UKSA is a world leader in yachting and watersports training, Neilson is the leading specialist in activity holidays – it’s a perfect match. The two organisations have paired up to provide funded training for those who want to work as watersports instructors in Mediterranean resorts. Train for a minimal financial commitment at UKSA’s waterfront campus on the Isle of Wight (including food and accommodation) and go straight into guaranteed work with Neilson for two years.
The course dates for early 2015 are perfect for going into the industry – after nine weeks of training you’ll be ready for the summer season and will find yourself working in any one of Neilson’s locations before you know it! You’ll be teaching holidaymakers how to windsurf and dinghy sail, enjoying the sunnier climes and fantastic atmosphere. So to summarise, you’re getting your training, instructor qualifications and a job, for around a £1,000 investment. No, it’s not too good to be true! With a shortage of Watersports Instructors to meet the demands of the popular and ever growing industry of activity holidays, there is a need to find the right people for the job while removing the financial barriers that those with the passion but not the financial means may face. As a youth charity, UKSA is proud to be working with Neilson to offer this great opportunity. Speak to our course advisors to find out more – this could be the moment your life changes forever!
So here’s the detail: The course includes RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA SRR Radio Operators License, RYA First Aid at Sea and all the necessary RYA Dinghy Sailing and RYA Windsurf instructor qualifications. You will have access to the best kit and instructors along with all the facilities you could need at UKSA’s world-renowned 3.5 acre site in Cowes. Not only that, your accommodation and food is included in the course fee so you don’t have that to worry about – leaving you free to concentrate on getting your qualifications. You have to be 18+ with the ambition to work for at least a couple of seasons with activity holiday specialists Neilson. There is an ask for a £1,000 financial contribution but this may be waived if you have the desire but not the means to follow your dream. These courses are entry level so all you need to do is phone the UKSA course advisors and sign up to attend an interview and selection day with Neilson at their base in Brighton. It really is that easy!
