Looking for Club Funding?

The first application for Sport England funding for a SUP school was successful yesterday and they have now received £5000 to put towards equipment. Chris Kenyon who started Central SUP – Stand Up Paddleboarding in the Midlands, has been able to get SUP recognised as a sport under the banner of the BCU and they are awarding funding for SUP projects like his. Chris recommends any other similar projects to apply for the funding as it can make a huge difference to what your club can offer the local community. If you want to know how Chris was able to do this or for any advice on what you need to do to apply give [email protected] a shout.

Similar funding is also available to windsurf schools and clubs should you qualify. For assistance in applying for this funding you can contact [email protected] or go to the Sport England website for more information http://www.sportengland.org/support__advice/county_sports_partnerships.aspx. There is also the awards for all scheme run by the lottery http://www.awardsforall.org.uk/england/summary.html which gives small grants to qualifying schools/clubs.
