The current Club Mistral centers become ION CLUB.
Club Mistral Windsurfing GmbH will continue to expand its leading role as an international surf center provider and niche-sports’ specific travel agency, by presenting, from the 8th October 2015, its former Club Mistral centers under the new brand ION CLUB.
21 centers in 12 destinations will be revamped in the coming months and branded with their new name – “ION CLUB Home of Surfing Elements.“ The ownership, organisational structure (management, partners, teams), product and service offerings as well as the locations will remain the same.
“We shall continue to work with the same philosophy, experience, professionalism and know-how, just as we have over the past 25 years,” explained Yola Bichler, managing director of Club Mistral Windsurfing GmbH.
Additional services and sports for new target groups
As a new brand ION CLUB will open new doors to exciting target groups. With a particular eye on kitesurfers, windsurfers, surfers and stand up paddlers of younger age, new offers and events will be introduced, more suited to the demands and interests of this younger target group.
And ION CLUB will not only find – and excite – inspiration on the water, but new sports will be allowed to shine under this new focus. As an example, the new ION CLUB bike center on Karpathos is only the beginning of the road to an extensive, high-quality cycling service.
The new image of the ION CLUB centers, with their additional, modern fittings in the centers, will help to make vacation time spent in the destination that much more memorable. In addition, the new concept intends to roll out a more unified infrastructure that will bring sport, shop and gastronomy together, as many guests have already experienced in Dakhla or on Karpathos.
Brand co-operation will be expanded
Through the new name and the close partnership with the Boards & More Group, in particular with ION, but also with Fanatic, North Sails Windsurfing and North Kiteboarding, new impulses will drive the centers.
The combined innovative power and increased marketing edge will ensure that all guests to ION CLUB will be able to experience the unique class of the products made by these brands even more intensely than before.
ION CLUB can be booked both in German speaking markets and internationally through the Travel People GmbH. ION CLUB guests will soon get the best of contemporary software solutions and new on-line applications. The French market will be served by the leading company in their branch, Fun & Fly – SPORT AWAY, in which Club Mistral Windsurfing GmbH has a 49% share.
The values and goals of Club Mistral Windsurfing GmbH will continue in the global reach of ION CLUB centers where the focus will still be on the well-being of their guests.
