Crossing The Limits with Jakub Kosmowski

A new documentary series following the life and times of the PWA crew and competitors…

You may be familiar with the name Jakub Kosmowski; a top-flight competitor on the PWA World Tour for several years, he has now turned his hand to the production side of things. In 2011 he brought out several high quality movies showing the likes of Gollito, Phil Soltysiak and Davy Scheffers freestyling in the Canaries. Following on from the success of these movies, Jakub has teamed up with the PWA and put together a new concept with a new crew – Crossing The Limits is born.

The idea behind the project is simple: bring to the screen every aspect of the windsurfing World Tour.  If you’ve ever witnessed a PWA event in the flesh you may wonder just how on earth it all happens – many of the events are on a huge scale and with competitors coming from all over the world it has to be a logistical nightmare. By collaborating with the PWA, the CTL team will be granted ‘access all areas’ as they follow not only the stars of the scene, but the event organisers, judges and the rest of the crew to show how the tour works.

As well as the ‘behind the scenes’ aspect, Jakub will, of course, be bringing to our screens the hottest action as the slalom, wave and freestyle fleets battle it out. In perfect HD you can expect to see a super stylish production in every episode. Exploring the highs and lows, the flaring tempers and the celebratory partying, we will see what makes the pros tick and explore the experiences they have on tour.

Crossing The Limits will attend every stop on the 2012 PWA calendar which is currently 15 events. From each event they will produce a 25-30 minute episode and aim to have it online within a month of the event taking place.

The project is certainly a great idea and will be great for the sport – not only providing some great entertainment and information for the windsurfing community but hopefully spreading windsurf media to a wider audience. All the very best luck for Jakub and the team.

One thing worth noting is that project is relying on sponsorship to get it off the ground. If you would like to contribute, head over to the official website HERE where you can find out lots more information, watch videos explaining the process a bit more and check out the sponsorship incentives – everyone who contributes gets something in return.

Here is Jakub’s introduction to the project…
