The PWA here in Tenerife kicks off tomorrow, fresh from his win in Pozo Victor Fernandez took some time to relax at home after the event before arriving in Tenerife a couple of days ago.

After such an outstanding performance in Pozo we’re sure Victor will prove hard to beat again here too. Boards caught up with Victor to find out about his preparation before the event:

“After the Pozo event I stayed in Pozo for another 2 weeks.

“The week after the competition was actually a good windsurfing week, some good days with waves. Pozo is a wind machine, event if the forecast is as good as the last week, I sailed on 4.5 and 4.2 all the time.

“I decided to stay in Gran Canaria as El Médano is more tricky with the wind. I was also driving up the coast to sail on different spots with bigger sails to get tune my big gear for El Médano.

“I’m looking forward to compete in El Cabezo, it´s a very fun spot.”
