So the wind was a little disappointing for the first 2 months this year, but now we have reached March and Egypt is back on form, albeit a little too windy at times!! We have had 2 great weeks of wind, a couple of much needed days off in between and another week of full power wind forecast! This is particularly great for us as we have a large group from Oxford and Cambridge Universities arriving on Tuesday for a weeks coaching and holiday here in Dahab.  This will be the third time we have had a group from these Uni’s and hope to add more universities in the coming years as we begin to arrange more and more weeks for groups just like these.

Other news with us, well we spent a great couple of days in El Tur last week, catching up with friends, training as much as possible, and saying our goodbyes as we near our departure from Egypt!  We were lucky to get permission to windsurf at a spot just downwind from El Tur, where a military base is situated, and so could enjoy a perfect flat water bay with stunning scenery, no other riders and amazing colours for some photos and video.  We had to be careful not to get any of the military area into the footage, and were limited to where we could position ourselves for the video, but we got some good shots and clips and really enjoyed being in such a beautiful isolated spot to enjoy our windsurfing.  Our whole trip to El Tur was brilliant, and a big thanks as always has to go to the Moses Bay Hotel for their hospitality and help with making it a great time. We will be back later on in the year for sure.

Since that trip we have had some busy times working here in Dahab and now have only one weeks work, one weeks training and then we fly back to UK shores, with 3 years worth of belongings, Easyjet could be interesting!!

There are now lots of the riders from the PWA tour here in Dahab so practice is great, motivation is very high and the wind is coming…we couldn’t ask for much more for our final weeks!

We will put up some images from the past few weeks (thanks to all who helped get them), and we are making videos as I type, which we will complete after our last weeks sailing once we have a little more footage…I hope you enjoy!
