We have recently heard the tragic news of the death of a windsurfer in his 50s at Hayling Island. We would like to extend our condolences to the friends and family of this fantastic windsurfer who sadly lost his life doing what he loves.

The story has been reported across some mainstream media  but it seems the death is not being treated as suspicious. The man was windsurfing off the harbour, and spoke with others including Danielle Lucas, before continuing his sail on the 22nd November. His body was found later by the coastguard.

Again, we send our best wishes to the family of this dedicated windsurfer.
