Job Description: Social Media and Digital Marketing Strategist
We are looking for an experienced and passionate marketing expert to join our team in the watersports industry. Your role will be to implement successful B2C and B2B campaigns to promote our products and educate the consumer using:
- Direct marketing – database creation segmentation
- Social media marketing
- Public Relations/Content marketing – to provide educational, inspirational and relevant content to our consumers
- Advertising in relevant press
- Email.
You will be working to increase sales on a diverse selection of products through a trade and consumer environment. You need to work in the digital framework and be proper geeks about doing so! If you are a motivated self-starter, with superb communication and written skills and strong knowledge of content creation and seeding (including the ability to analyse, test and research ideas fully), then we want to hear from you.
Scope of role:
To create, develop and manage campaigns on products and for customers by increasing traffic, interaction and revenue via social media. To develop specific community mapping documents based on individual brand and client needs, setting up the technical aspects of each campaign where needed or on an ad-hoc basis and tracking of each of the campaigns, from reputation management to engagement metrics.
Responsibilities:
•Build contact data bases on trade and end user accounts
•Keep up-to-date on Search Engine development
•Help distribute content for PR through the ‘trade network’ and consumer base.
•Implement Social Media strategies
•Work with PR and Content to deliver monthly work
•Write product blog posts on new ideas and technologies
•Use and help develop new tools to analyse the web and client/product results.
Skills Range:
•Basic windsurfing experience
•An understanding of marketing principles
•Data analysis skills
•A passion for anything digital and an excitement to learn more about how it can be used
•Able to work in a small team
•Technical ability – HTML, CSS and Database driven website knowledge preferable
• Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or any analytics package would be a bonus but not essential
•Technical understanding of how the web and web marketing works
•SEO experience preferable
•Social Media understanding (Social Media is more than just Facebook.)
•Ability work with Photo Shop, Illustrator and other graphic design packages
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver clear and concise ideas to internal and external customers of all levels
•A passion for anything digital and an excitement to learn more about how it can be used
POST : Full Time. Salary £20,000 plus. (Dependant on experience and skills)
