Quatro may be one of the last to the game with a ‘Stubby’ style wave board, but they are a brand who like to do things right. The ‘Super Mini’ is their take on the new theme and Quatro claim to have spent over 2 years perfecting it.
On paper the dimensions are not too dissimilar to their Cube Quad fin – this 85 litre version being just 0.5cm narrower and 3 cm shorter. However the profile and proportions are quite different indeed. Compared with other ‘Stubbys’ Quatro have gone for a more traditional nose shape (not squared off!) and the back strap is not positioned quite as far back relative to the fins as other boards we have tested.
We should have a ‘first impressions’ test on this board on Boardseeker by the end of the week and so far, we’ve been really impressed! We’ve also been hearing that the demo boards in Pozo Winds are proving very popular with really good feedback from people who have tried them.
So, until the test is released later in the week on Boardseeker, here are few pictures to feast your eyes on!
