The Isle of Wight might not be the place you think of when you consider wave sailing but it has some really good spots, in particular is Niton. Watching this clip you can see why the Gaastra/Tabou boys did so well at the final stop of the BWA. We caught up with Jamie Hancock, who produced the clip, for a few quick words.
“Sailing at home in the UK with friends in mild stormy conditions has to be my favourite. Living in Portsmouth it’s really easy for me to just pop over to the Isle of Wight and meet up with Ross. It’s good to be able to sail in all conditions and make the most of every session.
Although me and Ross haven’t done much of the PWA tour in recent years I’d like to think that we could turn up to any event and do ok. I think Ross being this years British champ and us coming 1st and 2nd at the BWA event in Cornwall highlights that. Ross was ripping and is great to be pushing each other on our own at fun little breaks like Niton. I find this conditions sometimes just as much fun as mast high down the line” – Jamie Hancock.
