The RYA’s National Push The Boat Out Scheme is all about introducing new people to windsurfing, sailing and even SUPing. This weekend, the 9th and 10th May, Notts County and Weymouth are holding events.

It’s our Open Day – come & see what sailing is all about – have a go!
Everybody: individuals & families are very welcome. So please invite friends and come and see what we have to offer. The day is set up so there is something for everyone.
There are opportunities for you to go windsurfing and sailing through the day. 10am to 4pm. Please bring shoes that don’t matter getting wet (with good grip) and if it is wet or windy waterproofs. We will have Buoyancy aids available, if you want to windsurf a wetsuit is necessary.
No entry fee and free parking, but contribution to the charity event would be appreciated.
Times:
10:00, Saturday Club: See the club’s youngsters messing about in boats, learning at the same time . Maybe the Youth Race Squad will be training then too.
13:00 – 16:00, Cake-by-the-Lake (homemade of course!) and a cuppa in aid of the Sail4Cancercharity with a stroll by our beautiful lake to aid the digestion. to donate cakes or help out contact Karen at [email protected]

There will be members available to answer any questions, talk about sailing, the RYA courses we offer and the like. Food will be available, and the bar open.

OTC Weymouth – Sunday 10th May
As part of the RYA’s national ‘Push Your Boat Out’ initiative, we are offering 1.5hr windsurfing and stand up paddling tasters sessions this weekend for just £5.00 per person. Originally scheduled for this Saturday 9th May, the open day has been set back to Sunday 10th to account for the lighter winds and warmer temperatures forecast for Sunday.
