Another rider to make it into the PWA Tenerife trials, joining Graham Woods and Ben Proffitt, is Aleksy Gayda. We think it’s safe to say, Leky is pretty happy to have made it in and is ready to take on whoever he gets in the contest…
“I’m super excited about getting into the trials, I really wasn’t expecting it. It’s going to be a great experience to sail in my first PWA competition. It would be amazing to get through to the main event, we’ll just have to see how it goes and who I get in my heat! I hope I don’t get all the other British guys in my heat, I mean, there’s more chance of us all getting through if we’re not against each other.
“My heat plan? To crash as little as possible!”
“I’ve been out here since the 15th of July, although there hasn’t been that much wind so far. Before that, I spent some time in Cape Town over the winter, which was pretty cool. We got to some good conditions and I took part in the RRD photoshoot.
“I want to say a massive thanks to K4 fins, Wet and Dry and RRD for all their support. But the biggest thanks of all goes to Honour Branding; it’s mainly due to their support that I’ve been able to come out to Tenerife, and then make it into the event.”
