Boards are elated to hear the news that Stef Hilder and Sarah Bibby are officially engaged. Pfff forget William and Kate, this one is going to go down as the wedding of the year, especially with a proposal like that. The future Mrs Hilder (or is that Bilder or Hilderby??), who became the UK Wave Champion in 2011, and is right now joining Simmer for their Maui photoshoot, is no doubt over the moon and enjoying the trip of her life! However, we are pretty certain that Mr Hilder is even more overjoyed, especially after planning this one for nearly a year. We caught up with him for a quicky on all things proposal…

Stef, tell us how you were feeling before hand?

More nervous than I have ever been, especially as the drive up the volcano was spent entirely in rain and clouds!

How long had you planned the ‘I’m-going-to-propose-to-Sarah-at-the-top-of-Maui’ idea for?

I had planned to ask on her birthday in Maui for over a year, but the final volcano plan was brought together over the last few weeks! No plan b made it even more nerve wrecking!

Come on, tell us how stoked you are to have Sarah as your fiancee?

Overstoked! Dude, she windsurfs!! Haha.

Lastly, any wedding plans yet?

A few but nothing definite!
