Urgent message from Tushingham…

“A problem has recently come to our attention that affects ‘SOME’ Rock, Edge and Storm sails made in the period 2011/12. It only affects sails with the adjustable head system.

“If the head rings (see photo below) show any sign of corrosion, this may indicate they were made from a faulty batch of stainless steel. These rings can potentially fail in use.

“If corrosion is evident, please contact Tushingham Sails Ltd immediately to arrange the free supply of parts for a customer fit solution. Faulty head rings will be made from 3mm stainless steel rod. Current sails have been switched to 5mm rod with further QC checks on the Stainless Steel quality.”
