The course can be fully or part funded for the right candidates, and now you can choose whether to do it at UKSA’s HQ in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, or from the London Youth Rowing Club.

The nine-week course covers four disciplines (dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding), giving students an excellent start when looking for work in the watersports industry. They will also be given guaranteed interviews by leading watersports industry employers Neilson, Mark Warner, Sunsail and Ocean Elements. To be eligible, learners must be aged 19-24 when they start the course. If the applicant already holds a Level 2 qualification (GCSE Grace C or equivalent) or higher, they will be eligible for 50% funding. Full funding is also available for those who meet certain criteria.

Other courses are available at UKSA for those who don’t meet the criteria for this one. Pop along to the UKSA stand at the Sea Cadet National Regatta on Saturday to find out more, or contact the course advisors on 01983 203038 or [email protected]
