INDICONIC is proud to bring you the INDICONIC WINDSURF AWARDS – A global windsurfing contest for the most radical action of the year. The event begins on June 15th 2015 and runs through June 15th 2016.

Windsurfing athletes these days are doing the most outrageous maneuvers all over the world. The contest will be judged by input from the best Press and windsurf experts. The top ten nominations from each category will be announced on July 15th 2016, and the winners will be announced on Maui at the same time as the PWA Aloha Classic takes place (Fall 2016).

The Awards will be located at www.windsurfawards.com and will be judged in the following categories:

Biggest Wave – Photo Only

Best Jump – Video

Best Wave Ride – Video

Best Trick – Video

Best Wipe Out – Video

Women’s Overall Performance Awards – Video

We will present these maneuvers in an easy to view and compare format and will notify all subscribers as soon as an entry is accepted. Current prize money for the event is currently $2000 per category ($1000 for the Women’s Overall Performance Award). Videographers and Photographers get $500 for each winning clip/photo.

Rich Foster from Indiconic says: ”We are stoked to be able to showcase this amazing sport in this way. The Windsurf Awards will take the viewer all over the world – from the heaviest of waves ridden to craziest freestyle tricks on the flattest water. It’s going to be a great adventure.”

Our goal is to promote the sport not just within our current participants but also bring in new people to the sport. We are hoping that all riders be promoting their fellow rider’s maneuvers as well.

www.indiconic.com is an independent clothing company founded by former professional windsurfer Rich Foster and Danny Keevil.
