H2O Sports host 8th annual watersports day, with massive success.

Over 1,000 visitors headed down to Poole Harbour recently as H2O Sports hosted their 8th annual Demo Day. Hosted alongside SUP School Easyriders and BSUPA, the day was a resounding success with visitors taking to the water to experience new water sports, many for the first time.

H2O ran over 500 paddle boarding trials, 200+ windsurfing and kayaking trials and well over 100 kiting enthusiasts joined in on the day. The water sports company, with an online shop www.h2o-sports.co.uk and store located just round the corner from the beach, has already seen many new faces looking to get involved in the sports on offer including windsurfing and kite surfing.

The Saturday saw the ‘Round the Harbour’ race with over 25+ people compete over 5k on 12.6 class boards. Finalists included: Mens 12.6, 1st Andrew Joyce, 2nd Tim Harley, 3rd Charlie Gridley; Womens 12.6, 1st Joanne Hamilton, 2nd Janni Nielsen and 3rd Angela Laycock.

Other competition fun included racing round two buoys on paddle boards, supplied by BSUPA and Easyriders, with over 300+ people taking part. SUP Racing Results also celebrated a winning total prize purse of £500.

The Sunday was full of sprint races, with people of all ages and all abilities having a go on BIC 12.6 one design boards.
