After two years of planning it looks like Windsurf the Wash will finally take place this weekend, organiser Quayside Windsurfers have released the following information:

“Well the build up has been nearly two years in the making and this coming weekend is the last possible weekend to host our much anticipated Windsurf The Wash event.

“This unique event will be hosted at Hunstanton and we will be holding the event 1.5 miles out in the wash on Toppers sandbank, discovered by our team rider Andy Holland. We will have RRD and Fanatic/North demos as well as a massive selection of Severne sails to use on the classic flat water speed run along the sandbank.

“If you’re not confident enough to sail out to the sandbank, ‘The Wash Monster’ will be running any sailors and their kit out to the bank for the event for only £10 return. We will be hosting a BBQ after the event at the clubhouse as well as Colin Dixon running a ‘Weekend Clinic’ all weekend.

“SO: If we get the wind conditions we need the event and demo will run together on whichever day has the best conditions.

“AND… if the wind doesn’t blow we will hold our 2014 Demo day on the Sunday to give you the chance to closely check out the latest kit available from Quayside Windsurfers and SeverneShop.com.
