Thanks to all who turned out at Branksome Dene this evening to be greeted by 15-20 knots and a 5-buoy downwind slalom course.

 

It was a great sight as the fleet headed off the beach through the waves in the first full race and I thought that it was going to be a classic session.

 

Sadly the wind didn’t hang round and we only managed two full fleet races won (I believe) by Cribby and Dom Tidey (Bryony Shaw’s coach, and a mean sailor into the bargain).

 

The new club race marks worked well and will give us the ability to set similar downwind courses from now on. These race marks have been funded by the Poole Slalom Coordinators plus contributions from all of the Poole windsurfing shops for which we are grateful.

Hope to see many of you at the Fat Face this weekend and the Windfest the following weekend.
