After four successful rounds the series will draw to a close with this weekend’s final event and with a good forecast for wind a record turnout is expected. Supporting the event are FC watersports who host and organise the Animal Windfest and its associated events. On top of generous product prizes and winning vouchers competitors at this weekend’s event will also be entered into an automatic prize draw giving competitors the chance to win numerous high quality prizes from boards, sails, masts, booms, harnesses and many more prizes. These impressive product prizes represent one of the biggest prize funds for any race event and is up for grabs by all entrants.
The final series will be run with the usual top flight format, where experienced racers can pit their skills against the elements and fellow racers. The Challenge fleet offers an opportunity to newcomers and free sailors alike, keen to just get on the water, and join in with the event with master blaster racing and basic slalom course sailing, mixing in line starts and beach starts to give a variety of fun and challenging sailing. In between racing technique clinics will be run bycurrent series leader Jamie Hawkins and the PWA’s Robby Swift along with freestyle tips from fellow team Pryde and JP sailors Andy “bubble” Chambers and Colin “whippy” Dixon.
Throughout the weekend prize draws will be made, ensuring that if your entered your always in with an opportunity to take home a shiny new board or sail or any of the other product prizes on offer, as well of course granting you entry to the infamous Animal Windfest party.
