RICARDO CAMPELLO GOES FOR THE TRIPLE LOOP AGAIN
JP AUSTRALIA and NEILPRYDE have again offered Ricardo Campello, the former 3 times Freestyle World Campion, a bonus of USD10,000 for landing a Triple Loop. JP has extended its offer of USD5,000 also for a landed Double Push or Back Loop.
In 2008 Ricardo was the first windsurfer on the planet ever trying a Triple. During the PWA Super Session in Pozo, Gran Canaria he went for it and he got close with about 2 1/3 rotations. He now knows that it is really possible and he is convinced he can do it. This year he wants to pick up the bonus for sure.
His helmet and impact vest are ready and Ricardo’s mind is well prepared.
Ricardo: ”I can do planing doubles – no problem. From last year I know that it is possible to do the triple – I just need the conditions and a proper ramp and I will certainly go for it. Let’s hope that we get a typical Pozo day .”
The forecast looks promising – actually it looks like it will be super windy all week from tomorrow on – so there is a good chance that Ricardo will make history and sets a milestone in windsurfing.
